Ground broken on new affordable housing development in northeast Calgary

An affordable housing project is underway in northeast Calgary, featuring transitional townhomes for 52 vulnerable families. The Homespace Society Project includes two-bedroom and three-bedroom units across seven buildings, available to families at risk of homelessness, rented at 30% below market rates. This development aligns with the city's housing strategy approved in 2023, following a public hearing where over 100 residents expressed their housing challenges.
