Calgary is advancing its initiative to convert vacant office buildings into residential spaces, with five new projects set to revitalize the downtown area. Supported by over $20 million from the city's incentive program, these developments will create more than 1,100 housing units and attract over $350 million in private investment. The Hat Eau Claire, a recent conversion, offers 87 rental homes, while another project will provide 195 premium units. This effort is part of a broader strategy to reduce office vacancies and enhance urban living.
